One Dawg to Another

Sheriff Jack Parker's decision to allow the fourth tent to go to the dogs instead of housing inmates over at the crowded jail sits well with me.
His decision to open his heart--and this huge space--to abused dogs is political philanthropy at its finest.
As we all have to cut costs during the economic downturn, why not help each other out? While Jack's in a giving reelection kind of mood, perhaps he'd allow me to store all my years of accumulated junk over at the fourth tent-- say, somewhere out of the way, perhaps behind the dog kennels?
Since I'm paying for the tent on my tax dime anyway, I'd save about $50 bucks a month rent on my storage unit.
Yep. If Jack had just bothered to ask for public input regarding best use of that empty building he just had to have to relieve jail overcrowding, public storage would've been my suggestion.
I guess you just can't teach an old dog new tricks.
